Welcome

My name is Tomas Herceg and I am about 24 years old. I have spent about 50% of these years in front of the computer screen.

Currently I am Chief Software Architect and co-owner of the company called Riganti (website not yet in English, sorry).

In 2010 I finished the Bachelor's study at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the Charles University where I studied the Informatics and Computer Science. In addition I play the piano for many years and I like to play golf but I started with it quite recently so I am not good at it.

Professional experience

For 5 years I worked as an independent .NET developer and software architect. Now I am a leader of the whole development team at Riganti. I specialize in web application development using ASP.NET. I am also one of the authors on the Czech biggest website about Visual Basic .NET - VbNet.cz where I have published more than 50 articles about VB.NET, C#, XNA, ASP.NET and other .NET topics.

I am the Microsoft Student Partner which is an award Microsoft gives to people who participate in a student community, organize presentations at schools and universities etc.

Since April 2009 I am also the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional which is a bit bigger award for people who participate in other than student community, organize presentations at other places than schools and universities etc. Very often I make presentations and speeches about programming in XNA, ASP.NET etc. I also lead various courses at Gopas.
